Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was conceived on August 19th, 1965. She is an American actor and producer. Her most famous role is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. As a result of her portrayal as Johnson, Sedgwick won a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in 2010. The show ended on August 13th, 2012 following the completion of the seventh season. Sedgwick is also well-known for her recurring role as Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her role on Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's The Ones (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), teacher and family therapist as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as the venture capitalist. Her mother, who was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian descent. Sedgwick has declared herself Jewish and has said that she participates in Passover seders.
